AC/DC Box Set Tracklisting Revealed
Columbia Records will release "Plug Me In" — the ultimate career-spanning DVD box set of live performances, interviews and more from AC/DC, the world's most electrifying rock and roll band — on Tuesday, October 16.
The first AC/DC release since the band came to Columbia Records earlier this year, the AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD collection brings together for the very first time an astonishing five hours of definitive live concert and television performances — many of them previously unavailable — chronicling the ongoing career (now in its fourth decade!) of a groundbreaking rock and roll powerhouse whose music transcends the test of time.

Disc One of the AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD collection begins with a performance of "High Voltage" performed in October 1975 on Australia's "King of Pop" awards show. The first disc of "Plug Me In" is devoted to the band's formative years (1975-1979) with the late Bon Scott capturing the group in its full early glory with more than 20 performances including rare black-and-white video footage of the notorious St. Albans High School concert on March 3, 1976; the very first UK television appearance in July 1976; pristine live full-color stereo concert performances from Glasgow and Essex University in 1978; and three songs — including the very first public performance of "Highway To Hell" — from Netherlands television in 1979. Bonus material on Disc One includes a Bon Scott interview from November 1977; extraordinary band interviews from 1976; and four songs recorded live in Nice on December 15, 1979, one of Bon Scott's last concerts with the band before his tragic death on February 19, 1980.
Disc Two of the AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD collection covers the band's second great epoch: the Brian Johnson era which began with the release of "Back In Black" in 1980 and continues to this day. In addition to more than 20 performances drawn from three decades of concerts around the world — including an extremely rare Japanese television appearance from February 1981, blistering '80s and '90s sets from Detroit to Moscow, incredible footage from 1996's "Ballbreaker" tour (including the "Beavis & Butthead" intro), and 21st century barnburners in Paris, Munich, and Toronto — "Plug Me In" includes a fantastic array of bonus material including the AC/DC Donnington interview on the "Old Grey Whistle Test" (August 1984) and AC/DC's in-concert performance of "Rock Me Baby" with THE ROLLING STONES.
A deluxe collector's edition of "Plug Me In" — containing a third DVD of 21 additional rare performances spanning both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras as well as a treasure trove of facsimile reproductions of authentic AC/DC memorabilia — will also be available for a limited time beginning Tuesday, October 16.

Rob Zombie Live DVD Due In Spring
The DVD companion to ROB ZOMBIE's first-ever live album, "Zombie - Live", will be available in the spring of 2008 and will include bonus footage.
"Zombie - Live" will be released on October 23, 2007 in both clean and explicit versions. Recorded in 2006 during the tour supporting the "Educated Horses" album, which hit #5 on the Pop chart, the CD finds Zombie leading a supercharged band featuring guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D, drummer Tommy Clufetos and was produced by long-time co-writer and producer Scott Humphrey.
"Zombie - Live" includes the concert's renditions of the Best Hard Rock Performance Grammy-nominated "Thunder Kiss '65" and "Black Sunshine" from WHITE ZOMBIE's 1992 major label debut "La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1", which went Top 40 and double platinum. "Super Charger Heaven", "Creature Of The Wheel" and "More Human Than Human", also Grammy-nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance, were first heard on WHITE ZOMBIE's 1995 Top 10, double platinum "Astro-Creep: 2000 Songs Of Love, Destruction And Other Synthetic Delusions Of The Electric Head".
From ROB ZOMBIE's 1998 solo debut, the Top 5, triple-platinum "Hellbilly Deluxe: 13 Tales Of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside The Spookshow International", are "Superbeast", "Living Dead Girl", "Demonoid Phenomenon" and "Dragula". Songs from 2001's Top 10 and platinum "The Sinister Urge" are "Demon Speeding", "Dead Girl Superstar" and "Never Gonna Stop (The Red Red Kroovy)". "I am currently transferring all the early shit from the original tapes," he previously said. "No remixing going on here — everything will be as it was originally recorded. Don't know when this box set will be available, but it is slowly moving forward. This will be the final word on WHITE ZOMBIE."

Tapi hati hati, terlalu rendah bisa menyebabkan fretbuzz!Mengubah action senar berarti juga mengubah tinggi rendah bridge, karena tinggi rendah bridge juga mempengaruhi tinggi rendahnya senar. maka untuk men'set action ini, satu satunya cara adalah melalui bridge. Berikut ini adalah gambar di bagian bridge manakah yang harus diputar putar untuk mengatur tinggi rendahnya (lihat gambar) .
Setting Intonasi
Bagaimana caranya mengetahui gitar anda sudah memiliki intonasi yang baik? cobalah dengans sebuah tuner. Bunyikan salah satu senar tanpa ditekan (misalkan senar satu yang bernada E), Lalu tekanlah di fret 12 dan bunyikan lagi. Apabila Nada'nya juga tepat E, maka intonasi gitar anda sudah OK!Tetapi apabila lebih rendah sedikit dari E, maka majukan saddle bridge kearah pickup.Dan apabila lebih tinggi sedikit dari E, maka mundurkan saddle bridge ke lawan arah pickuplakukan juga terhadap semua senar, sampai semuanya memiliki intonasi yang baik.Apa itu saddle bridge? saddle adalah tempat tumpuan senar di bridge.. (lihat gambar dibawah) .
Tinggi Pickup
Ketinggian pickup juga harus diatur, jangan sampai terlalu dekat dengan senar, jangan juga terlalu jauh.Terlalu jauh dari senar akan menyebabkan gain berkurang. Sedangkan semakin Dekat Pickup dengan senar, semakin hebat gain yang dihasilkan! Tetapi jangan terlalu dekat, bisa menyebabkan senar menyentuh magnet pole pieces dari pickup, dan mengeluarkan suara yang tidak diinginkan.Ketinggian pickup dapat diatur hanya dengan memutar kedua skrup yang ada pada pinggir masing2 pickup.
Mekanisme Gitar Elektrik
Pickup adalah transducer, yang menangkap getaran dawai untuk dikonversikan menjadi arus listrik. Kita mengenal tipe pickup humbucker dan single coil. Single coil hanya memiliki satu kumparan magnet saja, sedangkan humbucker memiliki dua kumparan magnet (lihat gambar). Keduanya tentu saja memiliki karakter suara yang jauh berbeda. Sebagai akibat dari dipakainya dua kumparan, suara humbucker lebih tebal, lebih keras volumenya, dan yang paling penting menghilangkan noise 60cycle.Gampangnya, pickup harus minimal memiliki 2 kabel, untuk masing masing mewakili kutub positif dan negatif dari kumparan tersebut. Walau banyak juga pickup ternama seperti DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, dll, yang memakai 4 kabel konduktor dan 1 ground (total ada 5 kabel). Ini hanya sebatas variasi dari penggunaan pickup itu saja, bukan berarti semakin banyak kabel, semakin bagus.Single CoilPickup single coil, hanya memiliki 2 konduktor kabel saja, karena hanya menggunakan satu kumparan.Selanjutnya salah satu kabel akan dijadikan kutub positif dan yang satunya lagi negatif, terserah anda mau yang mana jadi apa, tetapi perlu ditekankan, keduanya menghasilkan suara yang berbeda, dan pihak pabrik biasanya menyertakan rekomendasi kabel mana yang sebaiknya positif dan negatif, untuk menghasilkan sound yang maksimal.Positif (hot) -> dari sinilah sinyal gitar anda keluar. Disambung ke switch (jika ada), jika tidak, langsung ke potensio.Negatif (ground) ' disambung ke ground.HumbuckerHumbucker, memiliki dua kumparan dengan tujuan menghilangkan noise 60cycle. ada humbucker yang memiliki 2 kabel, 3 kabel, 4 kabel, dan 5 kabel, bervariasi tergantung dari pabriknya.Kita akan bahas humbucker dengan 4 konduktor dan 1 bare (5 kabel), karena ini yang umum dan banyak digunakan.Pada gambar diatas, kita lihat ada 2 kumparan yang masing masing ujungnya dihubungkan dengan kabel (hitam, merah, putih, hijau) dan satu kabel bare (kabel ground, selalu dihubungkan dengan ground). Perlu diingat lagi, warna kabel yang digunakan sebagai contoh disini adalah pickup merek DiMarzio. Untuk pickup lain, harap dilihat spesifikasi pickup dan warna kabel untuk setiap ujung kumparan.Banyaknya kabel konduktor ini, digunakan untuk mengkombinasi kedua kumparan tersebut, apakah akan dipakai secara seri, parallel, atau salah satu saja.1.SeriKabel hitam dan kabel putih disambung dan dibungkus dengan selotip agar tidak menyentuh sirkuit lain, sehingga menyisakan kabel merah dan hijau sebagai kabel 1 dan kabel 2. Setting seri seperti ini akan menghasilkan suara output yang maksimal, tebal, dan bebas noise. Pabrik DiMarzio sendiri merekomendasikan agar kabel merah digunakan sebagai hot wire (positif), dan kabel hijau sebagai ground (negatif). Tapi tidak menutup kemungkinan bisa digunakan sebaliknya.Mengapa ada pickup humbucker yang hanya mempunyai 2 kabel kondukto?. Karena sudah dipatenkan kumparan disambung seri, tidak ada lagi kabel hitam dan putih yang keluar, sehingga tidak bisa mengkombinasi kumparan secara parallel atau salah satu saja.2.ParallelMenggunakan parallel, misalnya dengan menyambung 2 kabel dari kumparan yg berbeda (dan berfungsi sebagai kabel 1), lalu sambung 2 kabel lainnya (dan berfungsi sebagai kabel 2). Setting seperti ini akan menghasilkan output yang lebih kecil dari setting seri, suara yang lebih bright dan jernih, dengan sedikit noise.3.Salah satu sajaPilih salah satu kumparan yang mau digunakan, gunakan kedua kabelnya sebagai kabel 1 dan kabel 2. Lalu kabel dari kumparan yang satunya lagi, dibiarkan saja, tidak usah disambung kemana mana.
Gitar Listrik
Gitar listrik adalah sejenis gitar yang memerlukan amplifier dan loud speaker (pengeras suara) agar bisa dimainkan. Suara gitar listrik dihasilkan dari getaran senar gitar yang mengenai kumparan yang ada di body gitar yang biasa disebut "pick up".
Pick up atau sering disebut spul gitar, adalah sebuah transduser elektronika yang mengubah getaran dawai gitar menjadi sinyal listrik. Prinsip dasarnya adalah induksi elektromagnet, yang mana getaran senar "mengganggu" garis-garis gaya elektromagnetik. Perubahan ini menghasilkan Gerak Gaya Listrik yang berupa sinyal sinusoidal listrik. Bentuknya disesuaikan dengan gitar yang menggunakannya atau dari produsen pembuatnya, namun umumnya pick up berbentuk persegi panjang, atau model tertentu.
